Onelink Safe - Concept through Production
When you are part of an in-house team there are few projects that allow enough time to use the "extra" tools from your creative toolbox. This Onelink Wi-Fi Safe packaging project did allow for some research and brainstorming which I had the opportunity to lead. Based on our Onelink brand and the consumer segments we identified, we were able to brainstorm how to best sell this item and create content. I've included an image of our WHITEBOARD BRAINSTORM SESSION. Based on the known features we used the personas created for our users to help us create user friendly content... what did the features really mean to the consumer.
There are also a number of contraints/opportunities developing the packaging for this product. It's very large and heavy, a consumer would not be moving it or picking it up to read further. This meant our highlighted features need to be easily seen as well as needed to catch your eye at a glance on the store floors. The box also has 2 fronts and 2 backs to meet the needs of various retailers and the set size available to us. However it was positioned, you would be able to see the front and back details. The top panel is my emotive messaging. I feel it's important to connect with your consumer, especially on high ticket items. "How can this impact their life". I'm appealing to the consumers we're targeting, the small business owner, the slightly older adults who are looking to keep personal/financial documents safe, and the parent looking to keep personal items safe.
